When you extend critical thinking, you no longer take things for granted. You start inquiring why things are the way they are. You discover people who had the audacity to do things differently or lead a nation to an impactful transformation. Yes, you need courage and persistence, but when you get learning, you start to realize you can make a difference too. La Politique therefore firmly believes in the significance of extracurricular activities during college life. These activities complement the university's academic curriculum and to augment the student's educational experience. The numerous experiences these activities afford, positively impact students' emotional, intellectual, social, and interpersonal development.
By working together, students learn to negotiate, communicate, manage conflict, and lead others. Taking part in these out-of-the-classroom activities helps students to appreciate the significance of critical thinking skills, time management, and academic and intellectual competence. Involvement in these activities equally helps students mature socially by providing a setting for student interaction, relationship formation, and discussion. Students have opportunities to improve their leadership and interpersonal skills while also increasing their self-confidence. These involvements allow students to link academic knowledge with practical experience, thereby leading to a better understanding of their own abilities, talents, and career goals.
As a staff advisor of La Politique, I want to welcome the office bearers of La Politique 2021-22 and I hope to offer diverse platforms to our students so that they flourish and evolve as critical thinkers and problem-solvers for society. Let me end my message by quoting Aristotle who said: “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”

The department is committed to supporting the mission of the University of Delhi to foster all-round development of students through a multi-faceted education and sustained engagement with local, national and global communities, and nurture lifelong inspired learners from across the globe in line with our cultural ideal of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
The LaPolitique is amongst the notable Political Science Departments in the Circuit with well qualified and dedicated faculty. The department strives to Impart knowledge and training of the highest standard. During their study, students complete rigorous programs of course work and participate in a variety of co-curricular programs. It prepares them to be critical thinkers, productive citizens, and leaders in a wide range of careers: Public Relations, International Relations, Research and Academics ( government as well as an array of managerial options in the private sector ) to meet the needs of growing cognizance in Social Sciences and Humanities.

La politque is a safe space for expression of opinions and ideas, it has over the years given wings to a lot of students by empowering them to aim high.We seek to continue this culture, maintain the democratic nature of our department, in a way that students can take a stand for what they believe in, bring to life what they study in theory.

We the Executive Council at La Politique, 2022, Department of Political science, Kirori Mal College, firmly uphold the vision of integrity, perseverance and commitment. We serve as an imperative, and a prerequisite for the progressive and holistic functioning of the department. Furthermore, the onus of Deliberative strategic functioning, decision making and the execution of the work primarily relies on the Executive council. An all-inclusive and comprehensive system is of paramount importance to the council. We constantly strive to ensure bona-fide and rosy growth of the department.
The executive council plays dual role, it ensures the checks and balance system, upholds the rhetoric, and the impetus to foresee the discrepancies and sort them in the best way possible, and at the same time provides the appropriate force required for the working of the Department. The members of the executive are proficient and highly competent in their proceedings. Successful execution of events, festivals, quizzes, webinars and discussions with the cognizance of tech work, critical analysis, content writing, outreach, online reputation managing, great oratory skills, are a bonus on the part of Executive.
At last, being student of polity, we'd like to extend our vision with the axiom to introspect and inhabit it in your life, and would encourage the future leaders to be the best they can be -
